It seems the question on everyones mind these days is "Where can I put my money? Where will it be safe?" Investing in your home seems to make the most sense. By beautifying your home, you will see a return on an investment you can enjoy until we come out of this mess our economy is in. The best place to start would be kitchen and bathroom remodels, adding a master suite addition, or simply adding on a deck or patio. Oprah's got them and so do we! Here is our 2009 list of Bella Casa's favorite things.....



1. Magnolia Cupcakes; 401 Bleeker Street, NY, NY. When we tell you that we are heading to New York for a show, or for market, we are really going for these yummy cupcakes. If you are ever in the Big Apple don't miss this cute little bakery, oh and try the bannana pudding while your there!



2. Anna Hedges Photography, annahedges.blogspot.com. We love our wonderful photographer, she not only does a fantastic job, her personality is as beautiful as her photographs.



3. Voluspa Candles, voluspa.com. We are still in love with this affordable line of candles and home fragrance. We think the packaging is divine and the Baltic Amber is our favorite scent. Available for purchase at Bella Casa.



4. Three designing Women Decorative stamps. We know it is a dying art, but we think there is nothing better than recieving a real live note in the mail! These cute little stamps are just the icing on the cake. available in lots of different styles to match you personaltiy, whats better than that? Available at threedesigningwomen.com



5. Feizy Rugs; feizy.com. We really like this new rug line, check out the Saphir collection. You won't believe the prices on these beautiful rugs! Available at Bella Casa.

As we start the new year there are many of us that like the idea of a fresh start. I like to take advantage of the winter months to plan for the upcoming year. Consider starting a wish list of what you would like to tackle around the house. I like to accompany my wish list with a wish book full of paint samples, fabic selections and loads of magazine clippings! A few of Bella Casa's favorites are House Beautiful, Domino, Real Simple.... Go room by room and imagine what you can do to make that room more useful, livable, more beautiful! Last but not least, January is a great month to finally get organized! I have found that once you clear away the clutter you can enjoy your home so much more!
